What started in 2007 with the introduction of inflatable lights to add funky and fun decor items to our stock, has grown into a thriving business. BEDOUINFLEX™ is our flagship product. It is a single ply two-way stretch nylon filament fabric with a 100% waterproof coating, providing a hydrostatic head greater than 3000mm applied to a single outer side of the fabric. BEDOUINFLEX™ fabric is incredibly strong with a tensile warp breaking strength in excess of 3 Ton.

BEDOUINFLEX™ twice is a revolutionary double strength fabric based on our standard proven flagship BEDOUINFLEX™ fabric. Using the same two-way stretch nylon filament we have applied our revolutionary 100% waterproof coating to both sides of the fabric. This provides a more durable and longer lasting fabric. Following on for successful European fire standards testing DIN4102 Bedouin Freeform Tents revolutionary Bedouinflex waterproof stretch fabric has also passed the stringent British fire standard tests BS 7837.

The tests were administered by Centexbel laboratories in Brussels and are the specification for flammability performance for textiles used in the construction of marquees and similar textile structures.

The material was exposed to stringent criteria in order to be deemed safe according to British Fire Standards. The results were incredibly positive for Bedouinflex with the product coming through as completely safe with absolutely no after flame or glow following from the application of the test flame. And more importantly there where no recorded flaming debris or even visible flame on the edge of the fabric.

Bedouin Freeform Tents revolutionary Bedouinflex waterproof stretch fabric has passed the stringent European and German fire standard tests DIN4102 with the B2 classification.

The tests were administered by Centexbel laboratories in Brussels and are based on strict European and German standards DIN4102, which is the most stringent European standard for the building industry, marquees and outdoor coverings.

The tests for B2 classification comprise two test methods administered to test the fire characteristics of the Bedounflex stretch fabric. The test specimen is initially put on a specimen holder that is hung in a test cabinet. A burner flame is applied to it for 15s and the time to reach a marked point is measured. In the second stage the burning droplets are observed by means of a paper placed under the specimen. The fabric supplied by Bedouin Freeform Tents was exposed to a flame for a period of 15 seconds, at a 45° angle, after which the flame was defused. The spread of burn is measured and timed to meet the 150mm. For all the Bedouinflex spread of the burn was only an average of 20mm in breadth and length during that testing time. The most important result of this test was that there was no flaming debris where observed during or after the test. Flaming debris can spread a fire, and dramatically increase the risk to life and property, so to have a fabric and a tent that will not spread a fire is absolutely essential.
